discount on spot,也作 spot discount 或 discount,以为“现货贴水”,是一个商务术语名词.
在期货市场上,现货的价格低于期货的价格,则基差为负数,远期期货的价格高于近期期货的价格,这种情况叫“期货升水”,也称“现货贴水”,远期期货价格超出近期货价格的部分,称“期货升水率”（CONTANGO）；如果远期期货的价格低于近期期货的价格、现货的价格高于期货的价格,则基差为正数,这种情况称为“期货贴水”,或称“现货升水”,远期期货价格低于近期期货价格的部分,称“期货贴水率”（BACKWARDATION）.
贴水（Discount）是升水的对称.远期合同中本币资产以远期汇率计算的金额小于外币性负债以即期汇率计算的金额的差额.即：当“被报价币利率”大于“报价币利率”时的现象,即换汇点数小于零.换汇点数(Swap Point)排列方式为左大右小.
它是企业规避外汇汇率变动的风险而花费的一种代价.外汇经纪银行为了避免经营外汇的风险,一般设定了与即期汇率不同的远期汇率.企业远期合同中以外币表示的部分按即期汇率折算,而以本币表示的部分按远期汇率计价.在卖出外汇的远期合同中,远期汇率通常低于即期汇率.企业规避外汇汇率变动风险的成本体现为贴水.在会计处理上,可为贴水单独设置账户反映.远期合同的贴水可在远期合同的期内摊销,计入各期损益,也可以递延,调整有关外币业务的项目.“贴水”是外汇市场中的一个专有名词.
贴水概述举例
如果GBP/USD的价位为1.5030/40.隔夜拆款英镑的双向利率为:4.00%(存)、-4.25%(借).隔夜拆款美元的双向利率为；2.25%(存、)-2.50%(借).
则1、买入GBP/USD.在上例中计算出的换汇点数为-0.63；
2、卖出GBP/USD计算如下:
1.5030×(2.25%-4.25%)×1天/360天=-0.000083
即Swap Point为-0.83点.
因此,GBP/USD的隔夜换汇点数为0.83/0.63基本点.
此为市场中表示贴水的专业用法.
