—In Beijing.
B：—Which city do you live?
—Beijing.
这两个对话乍看上去一样,其实不然.A对话是对“地点”的询问,回答就应有介词,意为“在北京”,而Beijing不构成一个地点,也就是说,where这个词可代替in+地点；B对话问的就是哪一个城市,回答用名词即可.
同样,This is the hotel _____last month这句话,可有两种答案：一种是对“地点”的修饰,为where they stayed,at由于有了where所以不能存在；另一种就是对名词也就是hotel的修饰,先加一个先行词which或that,再加句子they stayed at,答案即为which/that they stayed at,可是选项中没有,故此题选A.
如果选b的话 应该是which they stayed at where =at which at the hotel

at/in which = where

不过在现代实用当中都已经简化了，只说beijing就行。
